Launched the first unit, a new Ferretti 870.

 

 

The Navy has hosted the Catholic baptism of the sea for the Ferretti Group: Ferretti 870 of the launch, the newest fleet of Ferretti Yachts. The moment symbolized the realization of months of intense work, including engineering design, design, craftsmanship and attention to every detail.
Until the end of June, the new model will be subjected to all necessary technical operations - RINA tests, performance tests of the prototype at sea inspections of plant and equipment - in addition to completion of the decoration board, before being officially handed over to an Owner Europe.
The new Ferretti 870, which will have its world premiere at the Cannes Boat Show, from 11th to 16th September next, is a collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, the center of naval research and design of Ferretti Group and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup.
The yachts measuring over 26 feet in overall length and maximum width of over 6, for a total displacement at full load of 80 tons, and was made entirely in the factory of the Catholic Group.

The Yacht 870 has preserved some features of its predecessor, Ferretti 830, while innovative solutions, already very popular on the latest models of the brand. On the new boat, is present as the Ferretti 800 the bronze dome above the bridge, the use of large windows on the main deck make it very bright environments, and in the hull, as well as large open view windows at the stateroom, plus the windows with opening ports to the guest cabins, and double glazing in the VIP at the bow.
At the first trial conducted by the team at half load testing prototypes reached the maximum speed of 32 knots, thanks to the pair of MTU 12V 2000 M94 engines, the power 1948 mhp, a driving force that combines the comfort, guaranteed by the Anti Rolling Gyro Mitsubishi, capable of reducing the rolling of the boat by more than 50%.
